How far is it from automation equipment workshop to automation equipment manufacturing?

Intelligent manufacturing, intelligent workshops, and intelligent factories are the three terms often being mentioned in industrial automation equipment. They seem to be intelligent. In fact, the difference is very big. Intelligent workshops and intelligent factories belong to the level of technique. Intelligent manufacturing belongs to the level of the Tao and the Tao and technique are endless. The Tao can be infinite, but it is difficult to have a qualitative breakthrough. The Tao is not exhausted, the technique is endless, and it will continue. After all, there will be a qualitative breakthrough.


1, Intelligent workshop

Focusing on the improvement of the overall level of product production, it emphasises on improving production management capabilities,  product quality, customer demand-oriented timely delivery capabilities,  product inspection equipment capabilities,  safety production capacity, production equipment capabilities, and workshop information construction, the logistics capacity of the workshop,  the energy management capacity of the workshop, etc.; Through the network and software management system, the CNC automation equipment (including production equipment, testing equipment, transportation equipment, robots, etc.) is interconnected to achieve the perceived state (customer demand, production status, raw materials, personnel, equipment, production process, environment) and real-time data analysis to achieve automated decision-making and precise execution of the command-line production of the lean management realm of the workshop;

2, Intelligent factory

Focusing on the improvement of the overall level of plant operation management, it emphasises on product and industry life cycle research, the lean management of the entire supply chain from the customer to the own factory and upstream suppliers through automation and informationization, from satisfaction to excavation, and even improving sales and market management capabilities to develop and lead customer needs; Improving environment, safety, and health management levels; As well as product development; Improving the production level of the whole factory,  the management level of internal and external logistics,  the management level of after-sales service,  the management level of energy (electricity, water, gas) utilization, etc., and realizing the construction of lean factory and the completion of factory big data through automation and informationization. The system is established and developed, and the lean management of the entire supply chain from the customer to the own factory and the upstream supplier is realized through automation and informationization. This is the intelligent factory;

3. Intelligent manufacturing

Focusing on improving national competitiveness, it emphasises on the improvement of industrial management level of the entire manufacturing industry in the global industry and fields, as well as the corresponding national economy components such as agriculture and service industries, combined with smart factories, intelligent services, and big data systems (including hardware and software construction)  to achieve lean management ideology and culture, thus ensuring the sustainable operation of the manufacturing industry, the country's economic development and long-term stability, and  this is a smart manufacturing industry;

For example, the phenomenon of overcapacity caused by repeated construction and the introduction of backward technology, the technology of market-changing technology did not learn the two empty phenomena that were lost in the market, and the phenomenon that their own brands were bought after low-priced acquisition by foreign brands and some other stupid behaviors, after smart manufacturing,  this will not appear.

China is the only country in the world that has all the industrial categories in the UN industry classification. It has 39 industrial categories, 191 medium categories, and 525 subcategories, thus forming a complete industrial system with a unique industry. Intelligent manufacturing injects the soul and wisdom of lean management thought culture to the brain of this industrial giant, otherwise it is a brain with a variety of software, a variety of sensors and information technology, a variety of automation bones and muscles, though being smart and strong, without great wisdom.

Industry 4.0 is a national strategy that Germany has created for itself. The definition of Germany is that intelligent factories focus on product manufacturing, similar to China's intelligent workshops; Intelligent manufacturing is heavily operational, similar to China's intelligent factories; Because of their country's industry, there are not so many systems. Compared with China, like a small factory, you can eat enough if you have a fresh meal. China is different. Just like a comprehensive group company, even if it is dozens of fresh, it may not be able to mix a belly. These obvious ones will not reveal the ugly one by one.

The United States and Japan, as well as other countries, also have different political systems and economic conditions from China. The differences in technological capabilities cannot be brought to China. They can only be used as a reference and cannot be fully emulated. China must build its own intelligent manufacturing strategy based on foundations and characteristics.

From the current situation, it should be considered in this way. For the intelligent workshop,  direct hands-on should be taken into action, which is greatly supported and invested (30%-50%)  by the government as the starting motor and the catalyst, the engine turns and reacts really depends on the company's own ability, which is not being supervised, leaving the winner only. As long as the results mark, the stadium is running. Intelligent factory construction, while doing the work, the government supports and invests a lot of money (50%-80%) to offer courage, improving the viability of the enterprise, in case the failure, it will not die, in case of the disability, it will not be abolished. Keep the companies regulated but not controlled and encourage them to keep running. Intelligent manufacturing is directly based on the basics, supported by the government, and a big sum of money (100%) being invested in infrastructure construction.

Establishing R&D investment in key products of intelligent manufacturing software system and hardware configuration, it directly lay the foundation, being supported by the government, R&D investment and enterprise fund completion. Product development process, quality, and fund management are strictly monitored, and Hanxin event is eliminated. Or other research and development fraud can be classified as a crime in civil law. Intelligent manufacturing still has a long way to go. The government has cultivated a talent base and a technical foundation with a long-term vision and stable pace. At the same time, as the intelligent workshop strives to achieve, the intelligent factory has also begun to progress steadily, and the foundation of intelligent manufacturing has begun to lay the foundation. This will continue to be implemented in the next step of the country's overall strategy.  China will proudly stand in the forefront of the world.
